作为从事艺术创作与文物保护、考古工作的艺术家，以其几十年对中国传统文化与艺术的不断探索，从抽象出发，转化中国文化的水墨精神与材质的呼吸性，重新激活文人美学的诗意，内在激活了传统的精髓，并使之具有了国际艺术语言的表现力。探索抽象艺术和实验水墨两个领域，创作的色异系列作品，将自己的哲学观和生活美学态度，兼容并蓄地融入创作之中，投射或隐喻作品不再以现象作为观照对象，而转向个人心迹和生命态度的疏理。
